Liminal Light by Kevin Carrel Footer

Liminal Light

Listen to the full piece here:

I am drawn to the things I cannot see
Pieces just out of perceptual reach
What is well-lit does not interest me
What is hazy and hard to discern
And makes my stomach quiver
Fascinates

I reside on twilight ground
Never reckonable
Within the umbra
Behind the thing that is known
Dull certainties cannot enliven me
I must have
The unknown edge

  1. Thank you for assembling this form to describe the formless, that place where we sit, occasionally groping, maybe noticing, maybe embracing something that seems worthy.

I’m going to add here that this place you describe is where, I imagine, free will, if it exists, is exercised.
