What I’m doing now:
Updated 13 July 2024 from Buenos Aires, Argentina
- This is a time to write. First step is to get back into the weekly groove of writing my series Little Epiphanies which I have been writing for over two decades. After a traumatic few months that included a serious bout of writer’s bloc (i.e. self doubt) the words are coming back. Join my mailing list here: https://www.kevincarrelfooter.com/join/
- I am wrapping up two photo books: TQBA about Queer Tango and a collection of photos from a decade of covering carnaval troupes in Buenos Aires.
- The Blue Tango Project (my band with María Volonté) is focusing on creative deeds (new songs and videos) and not touring. Couldn’t be happier about the change. We host a successful concert series in our home in Buenos Aires.
- Age is mellowing me. Some may disagree with me on this one but I feel it to be true. I am narrowing my activities to focus only on those things I most love and want to achieve. With age comes focus.
- I am currently studying ballet. It started as a way to improve my tango but has now become a passion in its own right. Whether ballet, tango, Argentine folk dancing or contact improv, I aim to dance every day. It keeps me sane.
